Many of you ask same question, why I using unity engine than Unreal or other engine (cryengine etc).
Many game developer always compare the aspect of every engine and adjust for their project, included me.
there's many thing to compare between unity and unreal such as price , asset , programming language etc.
sample Graphic comparison
Unity:
- Supports 21+ platforms (PC, Console, Mobile, Web)
- Well documented
- Loads of official & community tutorials out there
- Free if you make <$100K from it
- Easy for programmers, Easy for designers
- Great for building any kind of game
Unreal:
- Supports ~6 platforms (Mainly PC+Consoles)
- Has a history of being one of the nicest looking engines
- So so documentation
- Drag-drop tool for basic interaction
- Lots of tutorials if you are a designer, very little for coders
- Free if you make $<$50K from it
- Built from a FPS, which makes it a lot harder to do non FPS games
Both:
Btw Iam using Unreal too just for info, maybe if I have spare time I'll make Blog for Unreal engine too, please look forward for it.
